TECHNICAL SERVICES
The Celenium Group has been engaged to perform many assignments involving the analysis, architecting and detailed planning for infrastructure and business applications. Our customers generally are interested in reducing both fixed and variable costs. However, we have also been called in to address mandatory requirements such as disaster recovery planning. Our services address both the technical and financial aspects of each deliverable presented. Our professionals are trained to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand graphics and “English” so that our customers can easily absorb the materials.
It should be noted, that while our firm performs many technical engagements, we are not developers nor do we generally provide “hands-on” technical support to supplement our customers staff. However, we would like to emphasize that while we do not perform these “hands-on” activities, Celenium Group professionals do have extensive backgrounds in those areas.
While we offer a number of Technical Services, here are a few of our more popular services:
- Data Center Consolidations – Often provides a great way to reduce costs and improve 24x7 coverage after a set of acquisitions or a major expansion. Using our Data Center Consolidation Methodology, provides a straightforward way to consolidate many company data centers into just 2 or 3. Addresses key business and technology factors such as key legal aspects (e.g., country privacy laws), transitional and ongoing costs, infrastructure, business applications, internal and external network, and disaster recovery requirements.
- Technology Architectural Services - Often involves the analysis and upgrade of current architectures to solve complex technical problems. Examples of this service would be to determine the best wasy to merge IT operations at a detailed level once an acquistion has been completed, how to consolidate many data centers to just a few, or how to upgrade an application to support global expansions. Our analysis typically involves substantial discussions with technical staff, development of detailed IT architectural schematics and the development of the business alternatives and recommendations, including financials.
- IT Asset Footprint Services – Interestingly enough, we often find that our customers experience great difficulty in performing their planning and operational responsibilities, not because their staff are inexperienced, but rather because their staff don’t have an robust inventory (“fact-base”) of their companies information technology infrastructure, business applications, people and financials. Too often, they must rely on intuition and out-of-date partially complete lists to make multi-million dollar decisions. Our data collection service focus on quickly and accurately developing an IT asset inventory (IT Asset Footprint) for our customers. This enables them to far better set strategic and tactical directions and, ultimately, better structure and run their operations.
- Disaster Recovery Infrastructure Services – Too often, disaster recovery planning is an afterthought. While it may not bring money to the bottom line, it truly has the potential to save a company from ruin should a disaster occur. Our approach to disaster recovery planning is straightforward and is geared to cost effectively provide your organization with a workable solution. We understand that while a disaster recovery capability is important, resources allocated to this type of project must be frugally spent and balanced against more strategic company efforts.
